Repurposing

Hey y’all! So since we have been living through a pandemic, I have been spending a lot of time finding and doing things that make me happy! One of those things that I have rediscovered a love and a passion for is crafting! Initially, I started making wooden signs using my Cricut – and I still love doing that. Recently, though I have discovered a love for taking something old (and maybe not so cute) and giving it new life. I know that this is nothing earth-shattering, and that people do this all the time – but for me, it’s a new fun hobby that I would like to share with you!

So today, I masked up and headed out to Goodwill to find some new (old) items to repurpose. I already have a few ideas about what I am going to do with some of these items – so you will have to stay tuned to see them repurposed. For now, here are all the goodies I picked up – for under $30.

First, I found these shelf sitters. Not crazy about them the way they are, but I plan to repaint them and transform them into some cute fall decor! I also picked up this ceramic pitcher. I was not crazy about it when I first saw it, and I passed on it a couple of times, but I think I can change it up and give it new life!

Next, I found this old tarnished two-tier tray. These tiered trays are ALL the rage right now and I think that I can give this piece new life and add it to my existing pieces. I also found this planked sign that I will re-do into a fun sign for the girls’ bathroom!

These two metal signs are super cute – but not at all a color that I love…so I plan to give these two a fresh coat of paint and some distressing and I think they will be perfect in our master bath!

BUT, my favorite item of the day is by far this adorable (I don’t even know what to call it) shelf/piece with 6 little drawers! This one is going to be so much fun to change up and I think it will be so cute in our living room!

I am so excited to get started on these old pieces and to give them a new life and a new purpose! Can’t wait to share them with you!
